Activities in 2001

• On the 22nd of November 20000 the presidium of the NE-R negotiated the statute of the Euro-region and prepared the 1st general assmebly meeting of the Euro-region
• The 1^st general assembly meeting was held on the 11th of January 2001 in Lučenec, in the Municipality Office of Lučenec, the statutes and structure of the Supervisory Board were approved
• The Neogradiensis Region Association realised activities through the realisation of the Phare CBC project of the Heves county "Development of Slovak - Hungarian economic relations". These activities were aimed at expositions and conferences for small and medium entrepreneurs who are interested in cross-border co-operation between Slovakia and Hungry (the project was closed in October 2001)
• Presentation of the "Urban Planning Study of the Cross-border Region of Lučenec - Šalgótarján" on conferences organised under the patronage of the Euro-region, both in Hungary and Slovakia (September 2001)
• Organisation of the "Regional information meeting", on the 24^th of May 2001 in Lučenec with the topic "Role of self-governmental, entrepreneurial and non-profit organisations in the field of investment support"
• June 2001 - 6^th annual Novohrad folklore festival
• September 2001 - organisation of a common business - contracting exposition REGION KONTAKT in Lučenec
